About Us

Shepherd’s workbench started in 2015, in a garage doing projects for family and friends. As the projects continued so did the experimentation in techniques and tools. Now after years of building and refining the craft the projects that are made in this shop are examples of excellent craftsmanship and design. Nothing leaves this shop that we are not proud of. Each and every project is done with dedication and precision. Our one man shop is small in size but not in quality. Joe Shepherd is a full-time Youth Pastor in a small town called Auburn, IL. The work from this shop is done out of a passion for the hobby. 

Majority of the work that we do is rarely reproduced. We tailor each piece to fit the needs of those who will be using it. Everything is custom made to  the desires and the purpose of it. We make things as large as dinning room tables and bedroom sets, to things as small as leather bible covers and keychains. If you have an idea and what to make it a reality were the shop that can do it.

We are constantly broadening our horizons with materials concepts and designs.
